I have setup 4 companies ( each company has a store so 4 stores) in Frontaccounting application

All that i know is some times when we try to do inventory adjustments, try to select a date it show undefined in the top bar of the popup date box. In the past, when this problem happened I would go to preferences and updated the date format as MMDDYYY. Then it would show proper date again. But I had to do this once a while. I suspected that may be some one in his/her preference set a date format differently or something like that.

since yesterday i have a new situation..

when set date format, DDMMYY (using prefrence) it read yesterdays date 12/10/2010 correctly as october 12 but when i updated the format as MMDDYY ( I wanted to do this because i have this format in all other companies) it read as december 10. I mean the default selected date was december 10.

Hello,

I am facing problem of change in date format. Many times my date format gets changed automatically and says undefined. Another problem i am facing today is..I have set MMDDYY format but it is reading as DDMMYY format. I use mozilla.

please let me know how to solve this.

Hi

thanks a ton it helps. I already have piloted 3 stores with some 1200 items plus 100 transactions each store. It is running fine for past 30 days...
Search is good.

small hitch, I am facing at times is the time-out while processing the inventory adjustment where items added are more than 20-30 rows..at times..

Thanks for your reply. This answer really helps. I did install about 10 companies with some test-transactions..that is working just fine..over last few days...question is can it run for 365 days??

Are there some tests..special tests you can suggest??

I am planning to install FrontAacc as the ERP...

1. I will have 50 companies-50 mysql DB/ one mysql server
2. About 500 transactions(on inventory/sales/GL modules per DB. i.e about 180,000 transactions per year per DB i.e about 10 million transaction for one year on the server...

I would like to know whether in such as scenario this is stable ??? Can front accounting handle such volume??

Please explain.

Thanks for quick response. I must say, after evaluating lot of opensource erp, including the openbravo and compeier, i found front accounting more intuitive and really easy to set up and go.

In my opnion one exhastive set up demo even if with no edit option, can help user understand how it works (how to dos )without exhaustive documentation. If some one who already has set it up and running can share the transactions without the name mentioning and some tweaking to guise the identity..it can help the front-account big time!

I am actually planning to use the fron account in my company, and i do not mind paying for some customiation that i would require..especially in permission..setting etc

e.g.
in inventory, i want the person should be able to close the date and once closed the data should not be editable by the person who enters the stock data.

please help.

But i must admit its really a neat , great job. It will be very big one-day!!
