Topic: English India Language Problem

Hi,

Recently I installed FrontAccounting 2.3.25 on Centos 6.8. When I checked at the System Diagnostics, It says "Missing system locale: en_IN.iso-8859-1" on the Language configuration consistency field. Only en_IN and en_IN.UTF-8 is available in the centos locale.
How do i fix this or what is the solution for this problem.

Waiting for a solution from the forum gurus.

Re: English India Language Problem

Detailed answer specifically for India at CyberCiti.biz.

Also discussed in a forum post.

Re: English India Language Problem

Thank You apmuthu for your reply. But the article you mentioned is not applicable to centos 6.8

Kindly help me.

Re: English India Language Problem

Look at the heading "View/set global locale for all users on a “CentOS/RHEL/Scientific Linux v5.x/6.x” and older" in the CyberCiti.biz link.

Re: English India Language Problem

I have tried en_IN and en_IN.UTF-8 by the same method. But I am getting the same error.
The error is about "Missing system locale: en_IN.iso-8859-1" not en_IN.utf-8

Re: English India Language Problem

You are correct. CentOS 6.8 does not support "en_IN.iso-8859-1".

# locale -a | grep en_IN
en_IN
en_IN.utf8

Hence you will need to make your en_IN lang file as utf8 or just en_IN alone and make sure the entries in the lang/installed_languages.inc file are appropriately set.

Check out the lang/installed_languages.inc in my FAMods.

Re: English India Language Problem

Thank You very much. It works after making changes to lang/installed_languages.inc

Re: English India Language Problem

But after making changes to en_IN.utf8, there is problem while using any report and analysis. There error message is given below:-
"TCPDF error: Could not include font definition file: dejavu.php"
