Announcement

This release is a 2.3.14 release, and is considered as stable.

Common
------
- Fixes for Graphic Pie and Donut.
- Added back links to allocation inquiries on final page of customer/supplier payment.
- Fixed Customer Payment Edition.
- 'Page expired' prevention rewritten due to caching problems in some browsers.
- Database structure was not updated for extension packages activated by default.
- Fixed write test for main directory during install.
- All outgoing emails are optionally send also to BCC mailbox configured in company setup.
- Increased the allowed entry of chars in company name, login and create_coy to 50.
- New $def_print_orientation variable in config.default.php
- Print Links uses def_print_orientation value.
- Implemented Selectable Print Orientation (Portrait, Landscape) for all reports in report centre.

Sales
-----
- Added option to sort by customer and order number in customer allocations.

Purchasing
---------

Items and Inventory
------------------
- New core report, Inventory Purchasing Report in Items and Inventory.

Banking and General Ledger
--------------------------
- Added check for correct account selected for Retained Earnings and Profit/Loss Year in GL Setup.
- The on-screen reports Trial Balance and P&L Drilldown now follow the printed reports periods.
- Translation conflicts in Bank Deposit/Payment. The 'To' should be 'Into'.

Attached in this post is the diff file set from FA v2.3.13 to v2.3.14 along with a single patch file as well.

The new release is equivalent to Mercurial Changeset 3153.

Kindly note that the mere extraction of this zip file is insufficient in general to perform a real update. The new config.default.php variables need to be scrutinised and appropriately inducted into the existing config.php file. Any database changes between the standard schema of the sql/en_US-new.sql and the existing database for each company must be propagated thru with any new fields being accounted for with sensible defaults. The Upgrade page in the Wiki can be updated with user experience for each version migration.

As a newbie to FA, I'm a little unsure of how to upgrade to the new 2.3.14 release.  I don't have the ability to execute patch on the server, so applying the patch file is out.  Do I just download the new version and copy all of the files over the old version?

An "Upgrading for Dummies" posted somewhere, preferably as a "sticky", would be very helpful!

Several fixes / enhancements have been made in the HG Repo since the release of FA v2.3.14 (HG Changeset 3153) and the changed file set along with one new file as of HG Changeset 3165 is attached in this post.

- 0002032: user_theme() should return default if theme does not exist
- Fixed a couple of small bugs in Inventory Purchasing Report.
- Included Sales Pricing, Purchasing Prising, Cost update and Reorder Levels in tabs in Items form.
- Partially delivered Sales Order can now be closed using 'Cancel Order' button on edition.
- In case of document reference already in use, FA suggest the next number (if possible) ready to save again.

No database changes, so to install just copy the files over the existing files  Right?

Yes, but if you have made some changes for yourself in some files, you should backup these files for later adjustments.
