Hi everyone,

We have uploaded the GL balances as of December 31, 2008, then we have now the current year 2009. How do we manage  to get tied-up with the "bank account inquiry" against GL balances..since in the first place..."bank account inquiry" doesn't have open balance....how are we going to do to get balanced and reconciled both GL and Bank inquiry"....

this is my solution...pls check...

ALL Transactions found in the Bank_trans we will export it to csv file...then, we are going to add the one(1) line item per cash account and filled-up the corresponding table's field requirements including the sequence number(incremental line item number)...after that re-upload the csv data file....

Pls. have some advice for us...

Thanks

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your positive reply....when this will be implemented?

Thanks,

Joelg

Hi Joe,

Thanks for your reply...i tested the process and i highly appreciate the result....but i have a comment...our sales usually go directly to direct invoice..is it possible you can do editing in Direct sales invoice?....considering the fact that it is a long process for us...kindly considered also the volume of transactions to be encoded.....

Best regards,

Joelg

Thanks, Joe...just a clarification...if i created an item for services....the problem is we can't edit the line item descriptions...right?..and i think this is very hard for me to identify what kind of transactions may it have....and i think the only thing that i need is...FA should have the ability to edit the line item descriptions and i think this is not a violation of accounting rule and one thing more this is very common feature to any accounting softwares.....what do you think.....

Best Regards,

Joelg

Hi Everyone,

How do we manage in invoicing with two different line item types(inventory and non-inventory) because there's a possibility in our company that in our sales we include item sold and other charges or even a sales not really a form part of inventory....we use to combine this sales for the purpose of 1 sales invoice to be issued to customer....As what i had observed Front Accounting sales invoicing is particular only in inventory item and not for non-inventory...just an observation...

Thanks,

Joelg

Hi Joe,

Thanks for the clarifications.......

Hi everyone,

I had already created the closing JE and posting is done on  12/31/07.....but the problem is when i generate the income statement for the year 12/31/07 it will show up "0" Net income.....just because of my entry made....closing the net income into an income summary account(Temporary/Expense account type) and closed it to Retained Earnings.....now my concern is ....closing JE does it affect the income statement report....Just an observation..

Before you can enter journal entries on the fiscal year, you must go into company setup and select this fiscal year.

Provided....the fiscal year is not yet in "Close" status...

Hi everyone, the most common error in sales invoice is the unit price....since the "sales order Inquiry" we can modify the unit price....the only thing we need is to modify the price in "Transactions" so that the journal entries created will match against the sales order.....i think this is relevant issue.....

Thanks,
Joelg
