2.4.8 released in feb 4, 2020. Do i still need to integrate post release fixes released  before 2.4.8 release date?

thanks for the response. I just checked server shows the right time. I have two locations, say location A and B, for inventory. both locations have 3 units in stock for that item. when I run report 301 without location filter, it works perfectly, without zeros, and shows 6 units with correct price and correct value (price x 6). but when I apply location filter to location A, it shows zeros for price and value of that item. However applying filter to location B shows right quantity (3), unit price and value for that item. The problems is visible with only location A filter.

This problem still persists in report 301 (inventory valuation report). I am getting zero for unit cost and value for one of the items. When i change to_date from 30/06/2020 to 29/06/2020 the report works fine, no zeros. However report 308 is working perfectly fine with any to_date.
I am using frontaccounting 2.4.8 php 7.2 ubuntu 18.04

I have been testing declining method of depreciation in FA 2.4.4 but it works perfectly only for first/current year. When we move to next year and depreciate the same asset again it depreciates based on cost of fixed asset (the cost of purchase of fixed asset) rather than its written down value in new year (cost - accumulated depreciation).

I exactly followed this example from wiki

Example:
IT Equipment - depreciated over 5 years - nil value at end
Create Class, for Basic Depreciation Rate enter 20% (100% / 5 years = 20% per year)
Create a location for your asset
Create a Category - with the correct tax type and UOM - Modify relevant GL accounts
Add your fixed asset item
Choose the fixed asset class you created earlier
Depreciation Method: Declining balance
Base rate 20% - Rate multiplier 1
Purchase Fixed Asset

As written in the example declining method will reduce fixed asset value to zero at end and this is what is happening. Declining method should never reduce fixed asset to zero no matter how many years have passed. In declining method FA is practically doing Straight Line method with no salvage value which is wrong (SL method calculates depreciate based on cost of FA every year). 

Can someone please fix it?

Thanks for your reply,apmuthu. I think you should rename it to Supplier Debit Note to make it more understandable. All of documents in our books are named from our perspective.

I am from Pakistan. I have implemented withholding taxes at supplier payment successfully. But reports 202 (Ageing report) is not working properly. Did anyone fixed this report with withhodling taxes?

When we return items to a supplier we debit (reduce) supplier balance. Shouldn't we call Supplier Credit Note 'Supplier Debit Note' in FA?

As I understand, the science is simple, we issue credit note when we credit supplier's or customer's account in our books. The same way we issue debit note when we debit customer's or supplier's account.

For example, Bank gives you Debit Advice (document) when they debit (reduce) your account. Why do we call it Supplier Credit Note when we are actually debiting their account?

If I pay to supplier via 'Payments' in 'Banking and General Ledger' and I change 'Accounts Payable' account to something else, for instance, telephone expense. Whatever amount I enter and Process Payment, this amount goes to 'Supplier Balances' and 'Aged Supplier Analyses'. It should not go to these reports if any account other than 'Accounts Payable' is selected.

The same happens when we pay to any customer using method as mentioned above. This amount should also not become part of 'Customer Balances' and 'Aged Customer Analysis Report' if 'Accounts Receivable' is not selected as Account.

It is also true for 'Deposits' in 'Banking and General Ledger', the amount goes to relevant balances reports but it shouldn't.

There is also another bug in date picker. If it is opened, you must select a date to close it. It does not close by clicking empty space on the page. Even clicking on calendar icon again doesn't close it.

I have facing the same problem in Inventory Adjustment. Date picker is bringing date with format MM/DD/YYYY however it is set DD/MM/YYYY in preferences.

I have tried in Windows 7 64 bit with XAMP 3.2.2 and on a shared hosting account(on Linux). I also tested on offcial demo link of 2.3.25 here --> http://demo.frontaccounting.eu/ . Print invoice, print purchase order and any report which generates PDF are not working in Frontaccounting 2.3.25. it tries to load PDF, loading bar disappears and PDF popup does not open, no error is shown.

I uninstalled 2.3.25, installed 2.3.24 and printing in PDF started working. It seems to be a bug in 2.3.25

I am QuickBooks consultant in Pakistan with 10 years of experience, I implemented QB with RDS server in many small and big companies. I know QB very well.

Even QB Enterprise is not enough to meet my clients' needs. It is closed program so many times I cannot satisfy my clients up to the mark just because of limited reports in QB and limited customization in many areas like custom fields (No formula). Although it offers free ODBC database driver for enterprise edition, it does not work the way it should. You have limited access to database tables. If you need to write on the table, pay them extra for write-able driver in spite of monthly subscription fee. This is what made me search for another solution and then I found FA via Google Search.

FA is such an incredible ERP. QB stands nowhere in front of FA. Although I do not know html/php, using common sense I can customize FA by editing codes (Inspect Element) much more than I am able to customize QB. I used Advanced inventory in QB, You know what? It sucks! It is so complex and painful that I never considered it a solution to the problem. You need to give 10 minutes to QB just to generate a report using advanced inventory with updated data. I feel like I got out of hell by reaching FA. FA is the solution to every problem QB has. oh yeah, QB does not generate Inventory Movement report either. It will take a long article to write weaknesses of QB. I learned SQL in two days and integrated custom reports in FA. Creating a report the way I want is now possible after a long time. I can create a field with a formula of addition and multiplication etc... I cant believe the life is so much easy. I was stuck. I was fool. I was victim of brand of big corp, Intuit.

Thank you FA for being the worlds best open source ERP. You made the world much better place. I salute you guys.

I think the copy of theme I provided is not the same used in the demo. or may be I am using different version of FA than that in demo. The developer made the theme work perfectly. I wish we could have responsive theme like this for public here.

After using locally with xamp, I disabled MySQL from xamp and installed MySQL 5.7.11 cummunity Edition, created new database and installed FA 2.3.25. This time I used Apache from xampp with MySQL 5.7.11 windows service (MySQL in xamp was disabled),  It is surprising that with MySQL 5.7.11 community edition it went worse, menu showed upward and forms displayed downward. Unfortunately I do not have its snapshot.

Joe, I did not get any error while applying this theme in any case.

I think it looks more professional than all other themes available to date. But the problem is when I apply this theme to my frontaccounting 2.3.25, it does not give the style in menu and forms as demo shows. I need someone to fix the code. You can download theme here
