You can add transactions only on the active year of fiscal year of the company.  If you wish to 2014 year entries. change your fiscal year to 2014 and add entries than change it to active. But you can't add entries, which is not in fiscal year.

I am not sure i understand completely. But let me try to help you in this.

When you  use"Customer Payments" form,it will create a payment entry for the customer for a transaction say for example, it will create an entry in the debtor_trans table with  type 12 also it will add an GL entry in the gl_trans table.

but in Case if you goto "Deposts, it will make the payment without stating any customer order. thats not sure,whether the money paid for a transaction or donation. or pre advance for the forth coming transactions.  So it will be added to the customer wel name and his credit status.

Why do we have a settings for doing it. Suppose if they don't get supplier reference. So they can either disable or they can use some auto iterating reference number like in our sales reference.

Yes it's very basic one to work on day basis. But not on hourly calculations.

It's $db variable is not globally accessed. Now I solved the problem. It's working now.
