as you guys described you could work with it.

You could work with dimensions create jobs/project number in it to track a job specific.

using your barcode as itemcode is simple,
but if you run a mobile shop where you have to track the serialnumber what then.
One batch number have thousand of serial numebr what then ??

i am currently working with FA 2.3.5 version.
i would like to upgrade to FA 2.3.10 version.
I missed 5 updates,should i update with FA 2.3.5 or start with 2.3.6 then 2.3.7 and further more.

I tried it out to but it ain't that what it shroud be.
It should work like a sub menu as inventory.
i would advise a new tabblad for assets just like sales/puchases etc.. a new menu bar.
That what in FA is now only a data register for assets it doesn't carry those transaction to the charts of accounts of the assets.
I have a sample excel sheet how it should be and work could i mail it to you guys.

How do you do that in FA.
Is it possible that you enter the star date and end date of the job and FA Calculate the hours spend on it or the days spend on the job correctly.

Consider the following
I made a invoice with lots of items on it.
when i check my profit & loss i see that the transactions went to the wrong chart of account number.This due to improper assigning of a accountnumber in the item code.
How do i correct that ?
The only option is by voiding the invoice, but the problem is that i have to make the invoice again and that costs lots of time.
And lesson learnt to correct it in the future is to assign the correct account number in the item code.
The golden rule garbage in IS garbage out
Is there a option where i could click on that specific transactions and change the wrong account number into the right one. So that when i generate my profit & loss i get the information how it much be on the right number.
In a accounting software called Exact Globe 2003 this is possible you don't have to make a new invoice for it just change the wrong account number

I have tried the following i used de barcode number as my itemcode and it scaned it where i should manually ticked the account code but the problem is that i still have to use a mouse to select debitor and to print the invoice.
not so handy for a shop where clients come and go in every minute.
Could you guys work on it or give me a alternative.

In FrontAccounting i see the following module:
Sales
Purchases
Items and Inventory
Manufacturering
etc. etc. etc.
If there was a seperate module for POS it would be very good for the front office for a company and with the possibility of working with a touch screen for receiving and or doing payment.
