item with experied date on it

hello there

is it possible that inventory item could have a field where you could put the start date/production date and expiration date of that product.
i have a customer who sells license with a date limitation.

for example the license period is 01/01/2012 till 12/31/2012 active.

Could you guys give me a solutions here for
