Topic: Company problem

I seem to have achieved some mess up in company registration.

If I register an new company it does not become active so I can not register user in the company. Consequently I can not enter the company after I logged out, as I have no users with authority.

When I try to delete an company I get “Cannot rename subdirectory to temporary name.”

I have databases with a prefix of  0_, 2_ and 4_ in the fi.frontacc database.

I am thinking of uninstalling Frontaccounting and reinstalling it. But, how do I uninstall Frontaccounting? I removed the database and created a new one, but that alone did not make the old installation to disappear.

Suggestions?

Re: Company problem

With help of phpMyAdmin you can go into company 0_users and copy your admin password (hopefully you know this password, it is md5'ed).
and paste it into your other X_users admin. You can change these passwords later if you want.

Re: Company problem

Case solved, thanks Joe!

Still, do you know how to uninstall FA? I migth want to get a clean start after testdriving FA.

I have a minor problem left in company, that is that I can not change default company.
System replays with an error message or just leave the default company anchanged. (and I suspect other problems in update company)

Re: Company problem

You can just remove the folder where you installed FA. Then upload FA 2.3.1 into the folder again. With phpMyAdmin, remove the database used (this will destroy your entered data!) and create new fresh ones. Then run FA. It will start the installation wizard.
