Topic: Simultanios usage of cyrilic/latin languages.

I am in an international company and I have to use different languages and alphabets at the same time. Because of Cyrilic users I need UTF-8 encoding. I resolve the problem with visualisation of the languages in the site by using English (US) and German in UTF-8, but I can't manage with the PDFs. With dejavu default font PDFs do not work at all. I changed the default font from dejavu (I saw it in this forum) and with the others it produces PDF files, but all Cyrilic characters are shown as question marks (????????)
Any help or link for downloading fonts for solving this problem will be appreciated.

Checkout some Dejavu FreeSans font to use.

There should also be some fonts for download on our download pages. Try the FreeSans font.

Re: Simultanios usage of cyrilic/latin languages.

It worked with the dejavu from your download site, if i find time I'll check the others too.

By the way, why don't you put a link to the download page in the forum menu - you refer to it quite often and there is no direct connection.

Anyway, thanks both of you.

Re: Simultanios usage of cyrilic/latin languages.

forum menu? The wiki is there for a purpose. Look under the "Working with FA" on the left menu links and choose any one under it => then choose the Reports and Analysis => Tips and Tricks => https://frontaccounting.com/fawiki/index.php?n=Help.ReportsAndAnalysis => dejavu.php missing - TCPDF Font Failure.

Could you suggest any other place....without cluttering the front page of the wiki? Possibly a sticky post - already too many vie for prominence in most topics.

Re: Simultanios usage of cyrilic/latin languages.

smile It's not complaint.
At the moment there is at the header of the forum:
(Index) (User list) (Search) (Profile) (Logout) (Website)

My suggestion was to put a button (Downloads) with the link next to (Website) for example.
Simply it would be much more comfortable for the users, as the downloads are referred to very often in the forum.

It was just a suggestion which would leave good impression, I know somebody has to do some extra work so I repeat, I'm not complaining.

@joe: It would require a hack to PunBB to get it done - nice suggestion for a quick link.

Yes, but you have a menu link to the website and then download release 2.3.

However, I have made a sticky topic in the Reporting Forum with a link to the download page.
