Topic: Correct display of Polish characters : HOW TO?

Hello all,

We have a fresh, working FA 2.3.11 installation.


1.) The en_US and pl_PL languages are installed and the data has been entered in Polish using Polish characters by the Polish accountant who has their default profile language set to Polish. All good there.

2.) However, some of the users are English speaking only but need to view/modify the data, especially Polish names, addresses etc.

3.) Problem is; When the English users login to FA and their profole is set to english, the Polish characters held in the db do not display correctly.


Question: How can FA be setup so that Polish characters will display correctly for the people who login in English?

I have spent several hours on this but to no avail and cannot find a definitive answer on this forum.

Set encoding for English locale to iso-8859-2 in lang/installed_languages.inc file. This should be enough to see and edit polish chars correctly.
