Topic: eCommerce Integration -Sales Order To Purchase Order and Drop Shipping

Hello,
I'm currently evaluating FrontAccounting and I want to give my kudos for it's elegance and functionality!

I'm looking to replace my Microsoft Solomon  (2002 version, now called Dynamix) E.R.P . I have an integration to an eCommerce site (built with MySQL and PHP). Solomon polls the web site database every minute or so and downloads new orders (customer data, line items, vendor info, freight info, essentially everything needed for back-end fulfillment).

The specific functionality I have customized in Solomon and that I am looking to achieve in FrontAccounting is this:

For Drop ships, the imported Sales Order automatically creates a customer record and a Purchase Order and the PO is emailed to the vendor. Once the PO is confirmed and the payment by the customer is verified, an automatic Bill Of Lading is generated and emailed to the vendor so they can ship the goods with the freight company of our choice (this is called 3rd party Billing and allows us to control the entire process, by the way, our average shipment weighs 1-Ton), the sales order is closed out, and revenue is recognized, a voucher is generated against the PO awaiting  the vendor invoice. This whole process is automated except for two waiting periods (PO confirmation by Vendor and Credit card approval by Customer)

Similarly, we have a lot of DropShip/WillCall orders (customer picks up merchandise directly from the supplier). This is similar to the above example except that no Bill of Lading is generated.

I do have a PHP/MySQL developer, but he has no accounting background, and does not really understand accounting that well.

I will direct my developer to the Wiki TechInfo page.

Do you have any tips or can you point me in a certain direction to accomplish the importing and other functionality I desire?

Thanks you in advance,
