Topic: New Executive Summary Theme with Jquery And Google Charts

Great News,

I have spend for about 2 weeks to complete my first executive theme. The name "Executive" mean you will see your summary report and charts when you login to FrontAccounting. The "drag n drop" dashboard are currently support the feature with ability to "add widgets". You can also create your own widgets and add into the Dashboard easily.

These "Dashboard" was created by using the combination of jquery and Google Charts. I have completely customize my dashboard to suite our need. I didn't use the existing framework to developed this feature since I was more familiar with jquery. Anyway, there are no "crash" by mixing jquery with current frameworks.

If you would like to have a preview of my new themes, please visit us at
   http://www.anterp.com

Login to our "DEMO" to take a look.

Currently,  we supports Area Chart, Bar Chart, Column Chart, Line Chart, Pie Chart andTable Data. It can be extended to suites your need.

Let me know your feedback and what type of information are important to you in summary page. Thanks You.

Cheers,

tclim

tclim,

That theme looks awesome! Is there any way I can setup FrontAccounting to sync with WHMCS' API? I'm not that familiar with API's so I am not really able to make my own script to synchronize the two. I see you have a few Data Sync Suites for other applications, do you plan in the future to create one for WHMCS? I would definitely buy it.

I think that this is awesome, tclim.
This is what I was trying to achieve with the original 'exclusive' theme.
The dashboard in front is also good to give a good overview of the existing company.
Will you share your approach with me so we can get an optimized version.

/Joe

Re: New Executive Summary Theme with Jquery And Google Charts

Hello tactics,

Thanks you for the nice word. We do have our data Sync Suites for FrontAccounting, VtigerCRM and E-Commerce Shopping Cart (Opencart, Zencart, osCommerce, PrestaShop, CRE Loaded). But mostly, we have integrate with Open Source Project at the moment.

I have a visit in WHMCS and it is a great products which is a commercial products for Web Hosting Billing. WHMCS have ready made API for developers to integrate with any 3rd party software. Hence, it is possible for us to sync the data from WHMCS into FrontAccounting.

Hello Joe,

Thanks you for the nice word too. I do refer to the original 'exclusive' theme and  understand the flow on how it work. But I have totally rewrite the whole theme with different approach using Jquery and Google Charts. The only remaining is the SQL query string is refer to 'exclusive' theme on how to retrieve the data.

FrontAccounting is a great great products and it will become one of the famous Open Source Accounting in future.

Let me share my approach with you. initially, I was thinking of Piwik (http://demo.piwik.org/) which have a great dashboard idea for me to start. But due to time consuming. So, I refer back to my original code at www.anterp.com .

If you wish to create the dashboard, I will recommend the following for you to start up:
  1) http://demo.piwik.org
  2) http://webdeveloperplus.com/jquery/coll … op-panels/
  3) http://nettuts.s3.amazonaws.com/127_iNE … index.html
  4) http://www.skypoet.net/yui/examples/iGo … ogle1.html

Our current designed are based on http://webdeveloperplus.com/jquery/coll … op-panels/. Please refer to their Demo site at http://demo.webdeveloperplus.com/drag-drop-panels/. Click here to download the source code for dashboard http://demo.webdeveloperplus.com/source … panels.zip

Google Charts can be refer to http://code.google.com/apis/chart/. There are plenty of resources and online sample can be found. Search for "google chart examples" will do. For my development, I refer to http://code.google.com/apis/ajax/playgr … #pie_chart. It is a great start for Google Charts. Thanks You.

Cheers,
