Topic: How to use FA for Restaurant Point-of Sale transactions

Hi...

... I am a newbie. Am trying to use FA for our 2 resturants. We do not need inventory control. And we do all transactions on a cash basis at the POS cash register. We purchase on cash terms and sometimes credit. How do I enter cash transactions without having to cretae quotations, orders, and invoices please? Am blur...

Sales -> Direct Invoice automatically generates the Sales Quotation, Sales Order, Delivery Order and the Sales Invoice.

You might want to use a POS like OSPOS and then run a cron job / db trigger to keep importing the transactions from time to time into FA.

I have a standalone POS that I will export to Excel.

Cant  just deposit Sales proceeds into the Bank without any Invoice etc?

The Bank does not care if there is an invoice or not but the Account books do.

The standalone POS's data in an excel sheet needs to be appropriately imported into FA and invoices printed there from.
