  This is a great news, we have just RELEASED Front Accounting Mobile edition that supporting smartphone for iPhone, Google Android and Black Berry 6.

  This version is based on the new technology which is power by jquery mobile at http://jquerymobile.com. We have completed our development for Accounts, Contacts, Suppliers, Products, Purchase Order, Quotations, Sales Order and invoices.

It seems to time out before it loads. Thought it might be a poor 3G connection so switched to WifI but no difference. Mine is ainolder HTC Dream (Android 1.6) I so want to upgrade it to a newer Android phone!

I have used FA on my phone a couple of times. Last time was to check a suppliers price against his last invoice as the price had gone up at his premises and before I paid....

For me it would be to mainly add customers and then create quotes, orders, delivery dockets, invoices.

   Thanks you for your valuable information. Since we are using the new technology, we only support the newest smartphone (This is the jquery mobile issue). if you wish to know weather your phone are supported by jquery mobile, you may visit here to verify

  Our recommendation is you should "upgrade" your smartphone (at least Android 2.2) and you are able to use this applications. Sorry about that...

  I have been spending 2 days just to rush for the rest of the functionality. Up to today, i have been completed most of the functionality but need tester to test it using mobile devices. I have also uploaded ALL the completed modules to my server. You can now access all the functions that I have built.

  If you still unable to access using your mobile device, you may switch to Firefox browser to test it. But, I am sorry that this version doesn't not support creation yet. It only read the data from the database and populate into your mobile devices.

I am excited someone is doing this...  I want to help if i can.   I tried to test from a an iphone.  In my case it gives me a 403.   So i assume you have it protected...     If i can help with testing tell me what i can do.

   Thanks you for helping me to test the application. Since our application are "cross mobile" which is supported using iPhone, Google Android (Ver 2.2 and above) and BlackBerry (Ver 6 and above). We do not specify the application to run only in iphone or android.

   With regard to your issue of 403 forbidden error. We have a firewall protected in our server. It might block some of the website. But we do not block any mobile devices accessing our website? From my investigation, I think your issue are cause by invalid URL entered in your mobile devices.

    In order to access this mobile version, you need to type the full URL as below:

(This is correct URL)
http://www.anterp.com/acct/mobile/index.html

The path to the index.html is required.

(This is wrong URL)
http://www.anterp.com/acct/mobile/

We have change it to support multiple company access. it is now tested and working great using iPhone 3 and 4. Google Android 2.2, 2.3.4. Lack of tester from Black Berry yet...

If you wish to test it, you may use your mobile phone to access now with the VALID URL.

Just an update. I think I had a network issue last time. Now tested and working on a HTC Dream running Android 1.6 (which shows as a supported platform on the jquerymobile link above smile Nice interface.

Honestly, this is NOT worth if you buy only the FA Mobile Edition. We recommend that you should look for E-Commerce package (Opencart, osCommerce, Zencart etc).

We are currently release FrontAccounting Mobile Edition for FREE. Yes, it's FREE. You can get a free download now from http://www.anterp.com/shop/frontaccounting-mobile

I hope that you enjoy it. This module will be contribute to FrontAccounting for future enhancement. 

To all FrontAccounting Developers, I hope that you can help to enhance this version and add in more features. We are currently lack of resources for future enhancement. Any volunteers are welcome.

I am definitately able to help.  My sales staff uses a combination of both I-Phone and Android phones so we can test different features and help to get things working better.

- Bugfix for querying company that have been deleted. The company index was wrongly query from company.php Thanks to Roman K reporting this issued.

- Upgrading the latest Jquery Mobile Alpha RC1 libraries. This should be the latest library at the moment of the released.

2.4.10 runs fine on a phone in landscape mode. I use the DropDown theme which allows the menu bar to remain visible with scrolling.
