Topic: Extending Fiscal Year

I have a situation where I want to change the fiscal YE from January to April. Can I extend the current year to end in April and have a longer year? Or do I need to create a small intermediate step between the full years? (and then have the inconvenience of adding them together at new year end) What would be the correct and easiest way to achieve this in FA?

Both are possible with FA.  It's upto you, but it's good to have small financial for better year closing and balance forwarding process.
