ru_RU is the code for Russian and is already available in UTF-8 in the official pkg repo to install from inside FrontAccounting.

Default English used is in POSIX "C" language and is latin1 that is iso-8859-1 (it was possibly earlier in UTF-8)

Yes it contains only 5 string translations and qualifies for a language addition in FA!

en_US English in the official pkg repo is also in iso-8859-1

I have made the po and the mo files for the UTF-8 equivalents for en_US and placed it in my GitHub Repo.

You can take the file at  FAMods/lang/en_US-UTF8/LC_MESSAGES/en_US-UTF8.mo, renaming it as en_US.mo and use it to overwrite the one in your FA installation at lang/en_US/LC_MESSAGES/en_US.mo.

You need to make the encoding change in your lang/installed_languages.inc file as well.

Sounds great that you have almost created a chart of accounts for Switzerland.

While I understand you last question FA does not handle this. Maybe you can find a place inside FA scripts to fix this. And if you fix it, please share it with us. That way we can probably create a switch for it.

Also this morning, I translated the chart file de_CH-new.sql.

After all, I now have the base installation ready, but still some open points:

a) My company has two TAX acounts. One for Switzerland and another for Germany. How can I handle this. Currently I put both TAX number in.

b) In Switzerland there is a stupid round to 0.05 Rappen. All amounts have to be like:

123.21 = 123.20
123.23 = 123.25
123.28 = 123.30

Basicially it is a x*20/20. Where can I add it?

All database error strings are not translated. We don't consider this as neccessary because these are very rare to show up and should they we think it is ok to present errors from the database in English.

And then I see a lot of strings, where there is no translation made. As I
understand it a string that I want to translate is called with
_("englisch string"). How can I correct this entries? Shall I send you diff files?

And then I have some troubles in getting the added sales price to display in a
sales order. Will have a deeper look about it.
