Hi Joe
Thanks for your suggestion.  I already have the PHP GD module installed and the dashboards are displaying correct data.  I just cannot see how to modify the dashboards.

I have also just seen information that suggests the reminder function (referred to in old documentation) is no longer present and dimensions can be used instead.

I need to find documentation to support this or find time to experiment!

I have a clean install of FrontAccounting V2.4.19 on Linux Mint V22.2 with PHP V8.3 and using the default theme.
The installation completes correctly and I can login to the test company with demo data.

I can see the preconfigured dashboards with test data for each module but cannot cannot get the dashboard maintenance and reminders options to appear under the setup / miscellaneous menu section.

I have checked for access rights as system administrator and have every option selected but there is no reference to dashboards or reminders in the list.  There is no option to install Dashboards under the Install/Activate Extensions menu (i read elsewhere that it is already part of V2.4).

I have the same issue on my live company installation (in a similar environment) - everything else is working and the standard general ledger dashboard is visible with correct data.

No errors appear when debug mode is enabled.

Any ideas as to what could be wrong?

Thank you for your response.  I've updated to V2.4.19 and this aspect remains the same.  However, I've come to the conclusion that it is down to me not grasping how the memo fields are best used.

I've now realised that the line memo appears as entered when doing a GL-Inquiry and the other memo entry field on the input form appears on the Bank-AC Inquiry.  This now makes sense to me since there can be several line entries per deposit or payment  transaction with different memos to be recorded for each and one overall memo for the balancing bank entry.

Thanks again for your advice.  This works fine for me and I hope it helps anyone else who needs to better understand this feature.

Hi,
I'm new to FrontAccounting and only need to use the General Ledger.  I'm really impressed with it and have managed to import from Sage 50 a custom chart of accounts, several years of transactions and I also have 1 dimension set up as departmental cost centers.  All working fine and reconciling with my Sage system which I want to ditch at the end of the tax year.

I'm using Version 2.4.18 Build 03.04.2024 on Linux Mint with a local Apache server and MySQL database.

One issue I do have is when I make a Bank Account Inquiry.  Any memo information I have input at the transaction line entry level does not show up on the screen.  The field is there but it's blank.  If I click on the book icon, the memo information is shown on the resulting screen.

Looking in the database, there does not appear to be a memo field in the bank trans table but it is there (with the corresponding memo data) in the gl trans table for the same transaction.

Am I missing something or is this a bug?
