Me again :-) I'm not too far in to investigating the inventory but is there a way of not using the stock control part. It's just that I'm setting up the package to use for my partners business. She trades a sole trader (ie just her) and sells art through various outlets. The price of each piece varys depending on where she's selling - if a gallery takes a big commission she'll charge more if you see what I mean. Therefore each stock item has no fixed retail price, any ideas very gratefully received, many thanks, Vince

Hi,
We want to use this lovely application for our small sole trader business. We'd like to slim down FA as much as poss to make it simpler for us and hence want to lose the tax/tax group feature - I've tried setting things to zero but the program won't allow this - any ideas on this or any other slimming down would be greatly appreciated. :-)  Vince

Hi guys,

I'm a complete newbie to this excellent program. I too am having a problem with setting up a new company and get the same error message re permissions as the first poster on this topic. I've tried clering cookies as suggested, am logged in as admin with apparently all the rights but still get the message. Joe (I think) suggested checking the apprpriate table in the database which I did and this says my admin permissions are set to 2 - is that right please or is there another way of resolving the prob ?  Any help gratefully received :-)
