I have FA 2.3.9

I had a balance of $1,500 in Cash In hand. I wanted to make a payment for the same amount and ended up with the same error as drummond.

But I was trying to do the transaction on 12/31/2011. It worked fine when I changed the date to 12/30/2011.

So the question is why is it not working for the last day of the year? Is it because it's a weekend? Just taking a wild guess.

On another note, I was able to transfer the same amount from Cash In Hand to Cash In Bank on 12/31/2011.

Yep, I understand that creation of PO doesn't create any accounting entries but it would be good not to allow creation of new POs in a closed fiscal year. Just helps keep things clean. Thanks.

Although it doesn't take much, instead of manually configuring it in config.php, it would be great if you can just add a table with all time zones and user can pick the default time zone for use. Just makes it that much easier for first time users.

Nevertheless, this is one hell of a package which is really good and flexible.

This is not a bug per say but some can term it as such. This is related to Purchase Order. The system allows to create purchase orders in a closed Fiscal Year. That should be blocked to avoid many other related issues that could pop up later.
