From sys_prefs table there is an option gl_close_date which actually plays allowing and closing entires in period to period. You can change it from banking and general ledger-> Close GL Transaction.

Close 2022 and all other open years and try again. FA has a bug with multiple years open. Usually it works but not always.

Maybe its related to php8. See the following post

If not then try to close and open the year.

dear all ,

I cannot post transaction to year 2021 ,

im getting error " The entered date is out of fiscal year or is closed for further data entry."

in company setup i made year 2021 active , still cannot , also 2021 is open .
