Try an earlier version of PHP. Also set the file and folder permissions for the webserver user where write permissions are needed.

I'm getting these errors when trying to install FrontAccounting v 2.4.6 for the first time.
Using Xampp: PHP v7.3.0,

Uninitialized string offset: 3 in file: /opt/lampp/htdocs/frontaccounting/includes/main.inc at line 185
Uninitialized string offset: 47 in file: /opt/lampp/htdocs/frontaccounting/includes/main.inc at line 185
Uninitialized string offset: 2 in file: /opt/lampp/htdocs/frontaccounting/includes/main.inc at line 185
Uninitialized string offset: 16 in file: /opt/lampp/htdocs/frontaccounting/includes/main.inc at line 185
Uninitialized string offset: 64 in file: /opt/lampp/htdocs/frontaccounting/includes/main.inc at line 185
... and many others but same line.

after that there is some "not writable files" problems.
