You need to install Chinese language in your server. You clearly mentioned Chinese is not supported by the server you are running fa on. So make sure its installed or your service provider install it in your server partition.

I am back to this issue again.
1. I tried to set it as default but it doesn't set as default.
2. It is written that the Chinese is not supported by server locales.

What is your server platform - Linux
What are your FA version: 2.3.18, PHP: 5.4.31, Apache: 2.4.10
Are you using Simplified or Traditional Chinese? I need both
Do you have the necessary locales installed both in the OS and for your client browser? Yes

Do the weird strings when recalled in the Web UI appear as the correct characters? No

Besides installing the Chinese language, you have to set it as the default language.

What is your server platform - Windows / Linux?
Waht are your PHP/MySQL/Apache/FA versions?
Are you using Simplified or Traditional Chinese?

Hi, i have downloaded chinese language and set english as my primary language.

When i tried to create item with chinese character, it will save a string of weird characters instead... how do i solve this?
