Thanks Joe. It could be a solution.

Target field is the number of items (left) and the sum of prices (right).

Anyway what we need is to have a target plan of Sales to keep the salesmen update about the target of sales the shop set for the month and the current achievement for each item.

Maybe need to have a module for that.

An alternative would be to create a dimension for each item and associate this dimension with the item. And then make Budget Entries for these dimensions. Then you can select adequate reports from the GL section.
Well, maybe it doesn't work. But the target field is some kind of budgetting, right?
You could take a look at the report, Inventory Planning Report. Maybe you can get some ideas from this.

Could someone please help show how to generate a sales planning report?

Ex:
Sales Period: 1-30 June 2009
Current Date: 24 June 2009
