Make a copy of the sql/en_US-new.sql or other Chart of Accounts sql file you are using - and name it uniquely and place it in the same sql folder after editing the currency and other details in it.

Dear Users,

I need to enter some defaults when creating a new company , ie currency , default new year , and other preferences.

How do i add my preferences to the script so that i may create the new company with my defaults?
