If the local machine is connected to the win8 xampp server, map the latter's ip address in the former's c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts file againsta the Fully Qualified Domain name you would generally access FA from the internet side.Please describe your network more completely as to which machines have the FA application running and which machines need to access it from which networks.
