If you change it in the FA Web UI, what appears in the database (not in sql dump) - view it in a mysql client like the SQLyog community edition in GoogleCode.

Check Browser settings (sample attached).

New installation so mysql no change from installation.

Can change the currency symbol to £ or $ but not €.

Check your encodings in the browser and MySQL and try to enter it using the normal "C" English language in FA.

I am unable to add the euro symbol € through this screen.

If I add it direct to the db it gets removed the next time I edit the record.
