Ok guys,

The idea just has been implemented. The changes are in unstable CVS.
New option in preferences 'Remember last document date' decides whether to use last date during new document entry, or current day is used as so far. When transaction date on new document is not the current one, it is displayed in red as a warning. Enjoy.

Janusz

On reflection ... I wonder whether introducing the concept of the "working month / week" would help...

Currently the system assumes the user is entering transactions for the current month / date...

For instance people will tend to go through and enter transactions periodically... so having the option to set a constraining period that would be the default that appears for the date picker would be ideal... So one sets March 09 and then the picker will show that month....

Minor gripe...

It would be great to have an option so the date picker remembered the last date used. This might be much closer to the next date required than today's date !

If entering transactions a couple of months after they happened it's very easy to forget and create transactions on the wrong date :-(

Cheers
