			<content type="html"><![CDATA[<p>Personly, I don&#039;t like the PEAR approach. I have been looking at a SF project called Excel Writer (XML) for PHP.<br />This is was they claim:<br /></p><div class="quotebox"><blockquote><p>Set of classes for PHP that allow Excel XML files to be generated dynamically. Nearly a full implementation of the MS XML architecture. Requires PHP 5+ Does not require any XML libraries</p></blockquote></div><p>It is very small and elegant. It is written in PHP 5.0 but as it is very small it is easy to fix so it runs in both 4 and 5.<br />It creates XML files, which of course is a good thing, especially for the XBRML standard. A standard for Accounting applications. This implementation is also for the future.<br />And it is easy to later create a class like pdf_report.inc, where similar routines are created. Then we only have to switch to the right include pdf_report or excel_report.<br />This is what I think we should do.<br />I will do some further research on this one.
