Thank you for your reply - We see the items in the sample company. We have tried to install/active the extension we tried the following:

asset_register
dashboard
and chose a random one

none of which installed came back with an error - "could not open"

We went to COA and chose the general american ones and got the same error.

You can use the COA, en_US-demo.sql for that. Download it from setup page, install / activate chart of accounts. and Restore your existing Company with this. In this COA there are sample data.

If you want to use Payroll and Fixed assets, you can install / activate these extensions from setup page, install / activate extensions.

I am a college student and our group selected FA to evaluate and we have it set up on our server and would like to have some sample data to "play" with so we can evaluate the software.

Any advice?

Our group will be evaluating the Accts. Payable, Accts. Receivable, Inventory, Fixed assets and Payroll. Looks like we might need modules for Payroll and Fixed assets is that correct?
