Its certainly a good idea in my opinion but yes as Elax said its not a new idea, So you can try something for tab or mobile device etc.

I don't think there is real new to write a "new app" as everything is FA is done by the backend anyway.
However, a mobile friendly ("responsive") theme would be welcome.

It is certainly not a bad idea.

There have been a couple of efforts, which you might want to look into before you go about reinventing the wheel.

Another idea you might consider is creating/adapting a theme for mobile devices. That would eliminate the need for an API and should be platform independent. (At least for reasonably similar screen sizes.)

Simple Andoif app

I was thinking of starting dev on a andoid app that can port the most important functionality to the phone so that you can enter sales info, expense, etc while on the road or for example do inventory while in the warehouse.

Would this be a good idea?

I would like it as when I am on the road instead of logging into the website I could just use the app which is would be more user friendly on a phone/tablet?

Any thoughts?
