As a fully featured accounting package, and with the manufacturing module and sales, it seems that Fixed Assets is a big gap in this excellent package. Is there any progress or intention to add Fixed Assets? Maybe a group of interested parties can work on this module.

Quick entries help with some Fixed Assets functionality, but proper functionality for Fixed Assets is much bigger than this - it would be a whole new module.

In release 2.1 you can define Quick Entries for doing this. Look at the demo 2.1 unstable (link on the frontpage).
