1) Does anyone have knowledge of current users handling similar inventory type items in a steel warehouse or service center environment?

2) Would anyone be able to estimate the difficulty in modifying FA to enable the Inventory/ Sales Order / Purchase Order modules to accomodate this type of requirement.  I know the details provided here are less than specific but I was hoping to get some basic feedback from those of you who know FA.
