You can enable item codes to be shown in the drop down lists:

Select Setup from the top menu
Click Display Setup
Tick Show Item Codes
Click Update

All the items codes will now display just before the item names in the drop down boxes.

I have seen the time when I have a hard time finding an item with the drop down box, it would make in easer if the item code were to show in the drop down item disc box as well...

In case of really long list of inventory items it would be not usable again, so the only somewhat universal ui control here seems to be select list.
I will look into sql ledger to look how it works

Hi All ,
I was using sql-ledger before and when I wanted to enter something in an invoice or purchace order or anything else I would enter a part of the item code then I would get a screen where I mark the items I want to enter then it would get all the marked items to the invocie then I would add the quantities later,

this input method make data entry much much faster and easier ,
What is the possibility of having such thing,
