The sorting for the listboxes are quite complex and the routines are in /includes/ui/ui_lists.inc.
The sorting for the reports can be found in /gl/includes/db/get_account_types_db.inc, function get_account_types():

is there anyway, I can change the sorting to Name instead? I'm using the version 2.2.11. Which file I should be looking at? /gl/manage/gl_account_types.php?

It is sorted by group number (alphanumeric in 2.3).

Hmm, yes. Would like to know if there is a way to change the sorting of GL Account Group. Currently I don't see how it is sorted. By ID? Name? Subgroup of? or Types? I'd like to make it sorted by Name. Is it possible? Probably a permanent setting?

Which version of FA are you running?
Did the PL and Balance Sheet sort it correctly?
We have never tested this with more than 2 sub-group levels, so if you still feel there is a problem, then you could send us a SQL backup of your
client database (setup tab). You can send us to the email address that are shown under Annoncement Forum.
Of course we will handle your data on a need to know base.
We will then test your solution and see where the problem is.

I don't know what I'm doing wrong.

My GL Acccount Classes are:
1 Assets
2 Liabilities
3 Income
4 xxx
5 xxx
6 xxx
7 xxx
8 xxx
9 xxx

My GL Account Groups are:
1000 - Current Assets (1,0,0)
1001- Liquid Assets and Marketable securities (1,1000,0)
1010 - Petty Cash (1,1001,0)
100101 Account - Petty Cash No1
100102 Account - Petty Cash No2
1020 - Bank (1,1001,0)
100201 Account bank No1
1100 - Receivables (1,1000,0)
1101 - Trade receivables (1,1100,0)
1102 - Trade receivables 3rd party (1,1101,0)
1200 - xxxx (1,1000,0)
1201 - xxxx (1,1200,0)
1300 - xxxx (1,1000,0)
1301 - xxx (1,
1400 - Fixed assets (1,0,0)
1491 - xxxxx (1,1400,0)
1800 - xxxxx (1,0,0)
1900 - xxxxx (1,0,0)

The report will look:
1000 Current Assets
1001 Liquid Assets and Marketable securities
1100 Receivables
1200 xxx
1300 xxx

Accounts to this group

But I need in this sorting:
1000 - Current Assets (1,0,0)
1001- Liquid Assets and Marketable securities (1,1000,0)
1010 - Petty Cash (1,1001,0)
100101 Account - Petty Cash No1
100102 Account - Petty Cash No2
1020 - Bank (1,1001,0)
100201 Account bank No1
1100 - Receivables (1,1000,0)
1101 - Trade receivables (1,1100,0)
1102 - Trade receivables 3rd party (1,1101,0)
1200 - xxxx (1,1000,0)

What I have to do, that the sorting will come as I need?
I have sometimes 3 Sublevels - and under the 3rd are the accounts ...

Did I need more "GL Classes", but I understand for Class what I mentioned above, Current Assets for example for me a group.

The report P/L are OK
Balance Sheet the 4 groups are OK
Till now I don't have amounts, will see later if the groups are ok.
