You can now view the result of the new PDF Engine at Demo 2 site. Username: demouser, Password: password.
At first it is transparent to you. But you can change language in Preference, This language is only available during your session. You can try the various languages and the Reports. Many languages is yet not complete, only a few are.
The CVS unstable repository will be updated in a while, and after that we will certainly ship the final release 2.0.
