FA already has P&L and Balance Sheet Reports.
rep706 - Balance Sheet

Have a look at the module extensions. There is a detailed report by Tom Hallman. It might be sufficient for you.

Look in System - Install Extensions - Annual expense breakdown report. This report or the Annual balance breakdown report could be what you are looking for.
